The Advanced Program for Integrated Science and Math (PRISM) is an honors program for top incoming students pursuing STEM majors. PRISM students don’t just memorize formulas; they see how math and science come together in medicines, treatments, and technologies through smaller, more interactive courses, early access to research labs, and a close-knit academic community.

Admission to this program is by invitation only.

Benefits of being a PRISM Scholar

  • Early access to research labs, with first-year labs in biology and chemistry that develop research planning skills
  • A $500 research award for students who complete the two-year program, usable for conference travel, research supplies, or a summer research stipend
  • Smaller and more interactive courses with individual attention
  • Participation in special events, lectures, and field trips for networking and building relationships in your field

    Candidates are selected through our holistic review process. Applicants may also indicate their interest in PRISM within Common Application. Only applicants who apply to these programs are eligible for consideration:

    • STEM majors within the College of Arts & Sciences
    • All majors within the Rosenstiel School of Marine Atmospheric & Earth Science
    • Applied Physiology in the School of Education & Human Development
    • Biomedical Engineering in the College of Engineering

  • Notifications

    Early Decision I and Early Action invitations are released with the Early Action admission decisions. Early Decision II and Regular Decision invitations are released with the Regular Decision admission decisions. You can review our admission deadlines here.
