We encourage students from around the world to apply to the University of Miami.

The most common curricula that we receive applications from are listed below, along with academic expectations and recommendations.

These requirements are intended only as a guide and are subject to further qualitative evaluation.

  • British Curriculum

    (I)GCSE and/or O-level results must be provided and students are expected to complete at least one year of A-levels for admission consideration. Any AS-level exams taken should be submitted along with any predicted A-level marks. Students admitted to UM will be required to submit final A-level results upon enrollment. Competitive applicants typically sit for 3-4 A-level subjects and have predicted Bs or higher.

  • International Baccalaureate

    There is no minimum score requirement for students completing the IB Diploma Programme. However, competitive students typically score 5-7 across all subjects. IBDP Year 1 final grades should be included with your official transcript and predicted grades will also be considered.

  • French Baccalaureate

    Students enrolled in a French Baccalaureate program are reviewed based on their internal grades from the three years. Competitive applicants typically score 14+ in each academic subject.

  • West Africa

    All applicants must have completed leaving examinations prior to applying to UM. Scratch cards and PINs should be provided to UM along with official WASSCE/NECO results. We do not accept provisional WASSCE results.

  • India

    Class X state or CBSE/ICSE Board exams should be completed prior to applying to UM. Students admitted to UM will be required to submit final Class XII board exams upon enrollment.

  • Caribbean

    Students are expected to complete CSEC exams in addition to 1-2 years of CAPE. Learn more information about credit equivalencies.
