All transfer applicants are automatically considered for our President's scholarship, which is $15,000 annually, if you have a competitive GPA, which is typically 3.5 or higher. No additional application is required. The University of Miami is dedicated to maximizing our need-based financial aid awarding for federal aid-eligible transfer students, with the goal of meeting 100% of their demonstrated need.

Recipients are notified of their merit award at the time of admission.

Eligibility Criteria

Priority consideration is given to transfer applicants who submit all of their Transfer Admission Requirements by April 1 for fall admission and November 1 for spring admission. Spring admission is on a funds-available basis. Please also note that the President’s Scholarship is awarded on a funds-availability basis for spring semester applicants.

The admission committee takes into account a student’s post-secondary grades, including the rigor of curriculum, along with the holistic review of all application materials. A student’s GPA is recalculated based on the eligible transfer credits. We will review your high school credentials only if fewer than 30 post-secondary credits have been attained.
