Admission Requirements

The University of Miami admits students who have challenged themselves academically — difference makers and change agents inside and outside of the classroom.

Options and Deadlines

Freshmen choose from four application options: Early Decision I, Early Action, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision.

Steps to Apply

There are 7 steps to apply: Complete the Application, Send Official Transcripts, Send Official Test Scores, Complete the School Report, Letter of Recommendation, Additional Requirements for Special Programs, and Check Your Application Status.

Financial Assistance

To be considered for all types of need-based financial assistance, complete both the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (PROFILE) and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students who wish to receive Pell Grants or Federal Direct Loans only must complete the FAFSA.

Special Program Deadlines

Supplemental applications, materials, and instructions for Architecture, Frost School of Music, and the Bachelor of Fine Arts Programs in Art and Theatre Arts can be found below. Candidates for Dual-Degree Programs must submit all materials by November 1.
