We offer four options for freshman students:
- Early Decision I (EDI) is our early, binding application option. Students who apply under EDI typically do so because UM is their first choice school. Students who are admitted through EDI are expected to attend UM. Admitted EDI students must withdraw all other college applications and submit their enrollment deposit by January 15. Admission Decision Notifications are sent out in late December.
- Early Action (EA) is our early, non-binding application option. Early Action is ideal for students who are seriously considering UM but would also like to keep their options open and receive admission decisions from other schools. Admitted EA students have until May 1 (the national reply date for colleges/universities) to make their final decision and submit their enrollment deposit. Admission Decision Notifications are sent out in mid-January.
- Early Decision II (EDII) is our additional binding application option for students who are committed to attending UM if admitted but need more time to apply. Students who are admitted through EDII are expected to attend UM. Admitted EDII students must withdraw all other college applications and submit their enrollment deposit by March 1. Admission Decision Notifications are sent out in mid-February.
- Regular Decision (RD) is our final deadline. RD applicants will receive admission decisions by mid-April.
We offer two options for transfer students:
- Fall Semester
- Spring Semester
