If you would like to obtain a second undergraduate degree, you must apply as a transfer applicant. If you are admitted, we will evaluate your undergraduate degree credits for transferable UM credits. From there, you would work with your advisor to determine which credits must be completed at UM in order for you to obtain your desired UM degree. For more information, please visit the Transfer Applicant page.
To successfully apply to a Dual-Degree Program, you must complete both the Common Application and a Dual-Degree Program supplemental application for your program by November 1. You may use any application option within the Common Application – Early Decision I or II, Early Action, or Regular Decision – as long as your application is submitted by November 1.
To have college-level work that was completed during your high school years (dual-enrollment courses) evaluated for UM credits, you must submit your official transcripts for these courses to the Office of Admission. A minimum grade of "C" is required for consideration of all dual-enrollment courses, and no more than 60 credits may be accepted from these programs.
UM does not have a program for high school students through which they can simultaneously pursue and complete their high school diploma and a college degree (typically an Associate's degree).
