Class of 2015

“At UM, I obtained the skills required to help ensure a quality education is provided to every child regardless of race or socioeconomic status.”

With majors in Africana Studies and Political Science and minors in Education and Philosophy, Mischael Cetoute hopes to leverage his knowledge to right the wrongs of inequality. His time in the classroom with the Office of Civic and Community Engagement’s Southridge Partnership and as a Summer Teaching Fellow with Uncommon Schools further underscored the work needed to correct inequality in the school system. Today, he works with Teach for America in NYC. Fiercely committed and prepared, Mischael continues to advocate for underrepresented populations.
